Barbering 101

Vous aimeriez apprendre le métier de Barbier? Ce cours d’initiation vous montrera les bases essentielles pour une formation continue solidement fondée. Voici les détails:

Class offered in English

Cette formation de 4 semaines s’offre les lundis et mardis de 18h00 à 21h00

Join us to learn the techniques of men's haircutting with a clipper.

L’Art du fade et de la sculpture masculine sont pratiqués dans un environnement professionnelle avec des petits groups pour propulser votre passion et votre confiance.

The intensive Barbering 101 Curriculum consists of:

Introduction to Tools
Mastering the Clipper
Morphology
Capillary Massage
Fade
Gradual Fade to Neck
Intro and demo of Beard trimming and maintenance
Styling and Finishing Hair
Health & Safety in the Workplace with CNESST guidelines

Please note that you'll have to find your own models to practice the techniques learned in class.
Mannequin Heads are Available
Clippers will be loaned for the class and recommendations on tools will be given so you can make an informed choice when you buy your first professional grade clipper.

Perm Class!

Class offered in English and in French

A 4-week training course that introduces you to the practices and theories of perming short and long hair.

This training consists of:

Consultation with the client
Scalp and hair examination
Select the right perm solution and rod sizes
Coupez les cheveux selon la méthode d’enroulement souhaitée
Wind the hair onto the perm rods
Learn the classic sectioning
Apprenez la technique de l’hélicoptère pour les cheveux longs
Saturate each rod with the waving lotion
Neutralize the hair
Demonstration for diffusing the hair
Right pricing consultation
Home care recommendations and rescheduling the next appointment

Mondays: 6h30 to 9h30

395 $ plus taxes

Requirements :

Bring your tools : tail comb, blow-dryer, diffuser, clips.

We can rent a mannequin head for the duration of the course at a cost of $30 plus taxes

For the last week, you will need to invite 2 live models; one on Monday & one on Tuesday.

Certification:

A diploma certifying that you’ve succeeded a recognized permanent course
